茶在古代一直是煎煮饮用的,唐代之后渐渐流行泡饮(开水冲饮)的方式。明清之后,由于文人的参与并极力推崇,用紫砂壶来泡茶成为了知识与身份的象征,紫砂壶所具有的特性使得“紫砂壶是最好的泡茶器具”这一观点得到了普遍的认可。尤其是泥料纯正的紫砂壶,越养(使用)越光亮悦目,似乎有与玉一样的通灵之妙,是以茶人尽趋,慕名而求。
