This article, based on foreign correspondents in China, examines how time and tempo of two important factors that make up their news production routine are used to analyze how they restructure their routine after leaving their habitual situation. This paper finds that foreign journalists who collect news across time zones have to superimpose both working rhythms in China and their headquarters to form a new rhythm. Time in them has only been the time of non-traditional quantification of concepts, but the time of qualitative concepts formed by one of the key nodes in everyday practice.
