Introduction This report summarizes the results of an experimental study of the potential dangers of electrostatic charge generation and accumulation in well-grounded ground-based liquid hydrogen storage and delivery systems. Previous research on hydrogen hazards has shown that due to the very low ignition energy requirements for a mixture of hydrogen and air (or oxygen) and the wide range of flammability, various potential sources of ignition must be carefully removed within the hydrogen plant .
