过去培养戏曲演員,除去梨园世家子继父业和师父带徒弟以外,比較正規的是办科班。科班的传艺方法曾經培养了不少人材,也保留和丰富了戏曲艺术遺产。解放后,党对戏曲教育事业給予了无限关怀,使得这一事业有了很大发展。但是戏曲学校是新建的专业,我們沒有一套可以沿循的現成經驗和作法,所以,总結和学习科班的教学經驗对我們办好戏曲教育是很重要的。党一直要求我們重視传統經驗,并且要不断地改进和提高教学质量,逐步建立一套完整的教学計划和教材,使专业教学系統化、科学化。在这里,我們把几年来教学中点滴經驗写出来,請大家指正。
