To Chinese， obesity is no longer an unfamiliar issue. Actually， obesity of adolescents is much more serious. According to the data released by Chinese Center of Disease Control and Prevention （CCDCP）， the obese people under the age of 18 have reached to 120 million. In addition， reports of research institutes of home and abroad points out that， 12% of Children in China are overweight， and the ratio of young people suffering from diabetes is four times of their US peers. Adolescent obesity is becoming the burden of China’s economy and medical institutes， causing over hundreds of billions. If urgent actions are not taken to halt this trend， China’s medical care system will be confronted huge challenges.
　　对中国人来说，肥胖早已不是陌生话题，事实上，更严峻的问题是青少年肥胖。来自中国疾病预防控制中心（以下简称“中国疾控中心”）的数据显示，中国18岁以下的肥胖人群已达1.2亿。来自国内外研究机构的报告也指出，中国有12%的儿童超重，中国青少年患糖尿病的比例相当于美国同龄人的四倍。青少年肥胖正在逐步加重中国经济和医疗机构的负担，其经济负担将超千亿元，如果不采取紧急措施制止这种趋势，中国医疗体制将面临巨大挑战。
