中国绘画美学有“境与性会”之说。性,包涵画家的禀性、性格、气质、修养等。凡是力志追求个人艺术风格的画家,一旦找到了适合自性的艺术语言,造出契合审美规律的艺术境界,那么他就有可能获得成功。尚连壁先生便是这条路上的成功者。 二十年前,我与连壁先生在苏北相识那时他正处于人生的坎坷磨难时期,苦闷中探索着版画创作,给我印象深刻的是他那粗犷古朴的刀法和灵动隽永的境界。进入80年代,他调省工作,每逢美术馆有国画展览,总见他来得最早而离开最晚。我知道他已专攻水墨画,但一直未见其作品。及至90年代,他的水墨画作品由江苏美术出版社结集出版,我才较为全面地观赏了他的山水、花鸟画创作。面对那些新作,我不
