前些年,沙田是东莞市出了名的贫困镇,交通不便,生活艰苦,冬季海水倒灌,单生活用水问题就吓跑了不少投资者和外来求职者。那么,沙田中学靠什么吸引住了来自全国各地的教师呢?靠人文关怀和良好的人际关系。我校是1958年创办的一所农村初级中学,校舍陈旧,设备落后,与周边富裕镇相比,教师待遇相差一大截。作为学校校长,我无力在短期内改善教学设施和教师的物质条件,但我可在精神文明方面大做文章。
In the past few years, Shatian was a poor town in Dongguan City, which was notoriously inaccessible for transportation. It suffered from hardships and seawater intrusion in winter. The problem of single domestic water consumption scared off many investors and foreign jobseekers. So, what did Sha Tin Middle School attract teachers from across the country? Relying on humane care and good personal relationships. Our school was founded in 1958 as a junior middle school in rural areas. Old school buildings were outdated and facilities were backward. Compared with the surrounding rich towns, there was a big difference in the treatment of teachers. As a school principal, I cannot improve the material conditions of teaching facilities and teachers in a short period of time. However, I can make a major contribution to spiritual civilization.
