常跟教育界朋友讨论两个话题:对教育事业的激情是天生的,还是可以培养的?教育家办学,校长最缺乏的是什么?之所以讨论这两个话题,一是因为教育工作者的事业心与爱是促其潜心教学、改革创新的内在动因;二是因为我国中小学校长在长期的教育集中管理体制下以及自身专业化水平不足的情况下,缺乏办学的意识、勇气和思想。这是造成千校一面,学校缺乏特色和应有的诗意与生命活力的重要原因。
