钱松喦先生(1899-1985)二十世纪中叶形成的新金陵画派的开创者之一,是中国现代山水画史上承前启后、推陈出新的一代宗师。与时 惧进,或日时代之适应性,是先生的一大特质。先生九岁入塾随父读书学诗书画,十五岁始写生,十九岁入无锡江苏省第三师范,毕业后在苏、 锡等地教书,同时以卖画补贴家用。教学生,必须重理法;卖画则要满足不同对象的不同要求。所以那时他的画,既具严谨的传统笔墨,又内容 广泛雅俗共赏。进入新中国后,他开始了顺应新的政治与社会需要的过程。他因有了之前的实践基础,所以不仅能变,而且变得快,变得尽善尽 美。究其原因,除却卖画生涯的磨炼外,还有三点:一是对于传统的多方师法,尤其是从石涛和华喦这两位极具变化能事的古代大师那里取法 甚多。二是善于写生,善于把造化与传统笔墨相结合。三是善于汲取其它画种的有益成份。四是善于思考,善于用诗跋与画面内容相呼应,相辉 映。
Mr. Qian Songyan (1899-1985) One of the pioneers of the new Jinling School formed in the mid-twentieth century is a great master of modern Chinese landscape painting that has been transformed into a pioneer and a new generation. With the fear of advancing, or adaptability of the times, is a great trait of Mr.. At the age of fifteen, he began his sketching at the age of fifteen. At the age of nineteen, he entered the third teacher training school in Wuxi Jiangsu Province. After graduation, he taught in the Soviet Union and tin and subsidized his family by selling paintings. Teach students must re-law; selling paintings to meet the different requirements of different objects. So at that time his paintings, both with a rigorous tradition of ink, but also a wide range of elegant and popular. After entering New China, he started the process of adapting to new political and social needs. Because of his previous practical foundations, he not only changed, but he became fast and perfect. The reason for this is that apart from the tempering of the art of painting and selling, there are three things: First, there are many ways to take advantage of the traditional multi-disciplinary approach, especially from the two great masters such as Shi Tao and Hua Yan. Second, good at sketching, good at making good fortune with the traditional combination of ink. Third, it is good at drawing useful ingredients from other paintings. Fourth, good at thinking, good at using poems and postscript echoes the content of the picture, each other.
