In order to explore the influence of psychosocial factors on the mental health of the elderly, we conducted an epidemiological survey of psychiatric disorders among 611 people over the age of 65 from April to June 1991 in Yunyan District of Guiyang City. The current report is as follows: Materials and Methods I.
