Objective To understand the geographical distribution and habitat distribution of Platycocera bovis in Hengduan Mountains of Yunnan Province and the spatial distribution pattern of dominant host and its population. Methods A total of 28 counties (cities) were selected from 5 geographical areas in Yunnan Province to carry out on-site investigation. Each community was trapped by indoor and outdoor habitats and the body surface mites were collected, fixed with 70% ethanol, Identification of species under light microscope. With the negative binomial distribution K value, the clustering index m * / m, the Taylor power law and the Iwao model method, the spatial distribution of B. poultry mites was comprehensively analyzed. Results A total of 11,360 captured Beagle birds (belonging to 3 orders, 4 families, 8 genera and 15 species) were collected from 3339 birds of the same family. 21 of the 28 counties (cities) collected the mites , Mainly distributed in the southwest area (accounting for more than 90%), indoor (2914, accounting for 87.27%) significantly higher than the outdoor (425, accounting for 12.73%). Of the 15 hosts, 90% of B. poultry mites were parasitic on the body surface of Rattus norvegicus and Rattus flavipectus, which is the predominant host of this mite. The aggregation intensity index determination and regression analysis concluded that the mite aggregation distribution. Conclusion Platycodon pteronyssinus is a widely distributed species in Yunnan Province. It mainly parasitizes the body surface of domestic rats such as Rattus norvegicus and Rattus flavipectus. Its distribution in the main host animals is aggregated and distributed.
