本文以学术英语课程定位为出发点,从问题的真实性、难易度以及教师的作用等几个方面,以学术英语通用词汇表(AWL)教学为例,探讨基于PBL教学法的学术英语教学设计。我国的学术英语课程应当定位为通用学术英语,因而将学术英语通用词汇表作为该课程教学所依托的内容是合适的。材料真实性对于PBL的问题设计非常重要,本文以AWL教学为例,分三个阶段详细描述了PBL教学设计的完整流程。作者强调无论是自主学习还是合作学习,教师的作用都不应被忽视,并且教师在培养学生的批判性思维方面可以起到促进作用。
Based on the orientation of academic English curriculum, this paper takes the teaching of academic English vocabulary (AWL) as an example to discuss the design of academic English teaching based on the PBL teaching method from several aspects such as the authenticity of the questions, the difficulty and the role of teachers. . The academic English curriculum in our country should be positioned as common academic English, so it is appropriate to use the general vocabulary of academic English as the basis for the teaching of this course. The material authenticity is very important for PBL design. This paper takes AWL teaching as an example and describes in detail the complete flow of PBL instructional design in three stages. The author emphasizes that the role of teachers should not be neglected both in autonomous learning and cooperative learning, and teachers can play a catalytic role in developing students’ critical thinking.
