The relationship between magnetism and viscous phase in a small amount of WC-10% Ni alloy with addition of metals Cr, Mo, Ta and their carbides was investigated. It was explored in what binder phase composition the non-ferromagnetic alloys were obtained. The results show that non-ferromagnetism is formed due to the large amount of Cr and W dissolved in the binder phase, regardless of the carbon content of the alloy. In addition, the addition of Mo (Mo 2 C), Ta (TaC) alloy and pure WC-Ni alloy The mechanism is roughly the same, and only becomes non-ferromagnetic under the conditions of reducing the carbon content and increasing the amount of W dissolved in the binder phase. It is also proved that the room temperature strength of Cr (Cr_3C_2) -added alloy is lower than that of pure WC-Ni alloy.
