目前各勘探隊和修配厂在用電方面普遍存在的問題是功率因數低。分析其主要原因是電氣设備没有被充分的利用起來,促使供給的總功率不能被充分的利用,所作無功增大,有功减小。這樣就使電能的消耗量增加,造成嚴重的浪費。因此改善功率因數,對電能的節約和電氣设備的充分利用方面都有着很大的現實意義。功率因數是有功功率佔總功率的百分數通常以cosφ來表示這個關係。從圖1中可以明顯的看出,改善功率因數就是减小φ角,使cosφ值近於1,而使有功功率趨近於總功率,以减少電能的浪費。為此僅就幾種實用的改善方法加以介紹作為工作中之参考。

Therefore, improving the power factor, the saving of electrical energy and the full utilization of electrical equipment has a great practical significance. Power Factor is the ratio of active power to total power. This relationship is usually expressed as cosφ. As can be clearly seen in Figure 1, improving the power factor is to reduce the angle φ so that the cosφ value is close to 1, leaving the active power approaching the total power to reduce the waste of energy. For this purpose, only a few practical ways to improve are introduced as references in the work.
