脑血管意外在日本占死亡原因的主要地位,即便是免于死亡,对患者及家属也带来莫大的负担。因此,早期预测和预防是现代医学中最重要的课题。目前行之有效的诊断方法是脑血管造影和特殊的脑循环测定法等。但这些方法对患者侵袭大,有出血,装置庞大而复杂,因此在一般临床上作为常规检查是不适宜的。众所周知,血流是由于心脏收缩而产生的,它不仅反映心脏方面的情况而且也强有力地反映末梢侧的情况,因此血流是评价末梢循环不可缺少的指标。为了了解脑血管系统的状态,其主输入端一颈动脉的血流情况是非常重要的。
