美国迈阿密退伍军人医学中心Materson副教授说:甲巯丙脯酸效果很好’应尽可能从最小量开始。对治疗轻、中度高血压来说,单用小剂量甲巯丙脯酸,每天37.5mg。分三次用,其效果同大剂量(75～150mg)相同。如果加上双氢克尿塞,即可增强疗效。此药的安全范围同β阻滞剂和利尿药完全一样。早期临床研究组中,仅3.8％患者因副作用停药。10％患者发生短暂的皮疹,可自行消失。
