Fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry (FAB-MS) has developed rapidly and was chosen two years ago as a method of analyzing polar high molecular weight organic compounds. In industrial analysis, this technology has become an effective method of analyzing a wide range of polar polymers, including rubber, plastic additives, organometallics and polar polymers. FAB-MS analysis of 5 samples including polyethylene glycol (PEG) 400, 600, 1000 (J. T. Baker) and polypropylene glycol (PPG) 41993 and 41994 was carried out.
