According to the Xinhua News Agency, a study by the Osaka Prefectural Adult Disease Center found that patients who smoke or drink alcohol are three times more likely to develop other cancers within 10 years than those who quit smoking and drinking alcohol. Therefore, cancer patients should pay more attention to quit smoking, and try to quit drinking. Researchers surveyed 1,904 cancer patients diagnosed at the center between 1985 and 2007 and found that if they smoke more than 20 cigarettes a day, they develop lung, esophageal, oral, pancreatic and other smoking-related causes The risk of cancer is 1.8 times that of smoking cessation cancer patients. With the daily number of cigarettes reduced to less than 20, the above risk is 1.5 times that of smoking cessation cancer patients.
