为巢峰同志的文集作序,我当然力不胜任。充其量不过讲点粗浅的读后感,供本书的读者参考。建设有中国特色社会主义出版事业是个大题目。1979年以来这十多年大概只能算是开头。完成这个历史任务恐怕少不了几代人的持续努力。而且需要群策群力,集思广益,从实践上多方试验,从理论上多方探讨。理论问题是根本问题。我们在出版方面的理论准备显然不足。因此加强出版理论的研究自然成为一项紧迫的任务。1983年6月,中共中央、国务院《关于加强出版工作的决定》明确指出:要“加强出版、印刷、发行的科研工作”。这个指示及时地有力地推动了出版理论研究的开展。同年,中国出版工作者协会召开了首届出版年会.巢峰同志在会上发表了论文《出版物的特殊性》,并且荣获首届优秀出版论文奖。这以后巢峰同志不断有研究文章发表。可以说,在十多年来出版理论研究逐步展开的进程中,巢峰同志是走在前列的。收入《出版
