这几种工具的共同特点是:利用千分表和定位杆,井且把它们作不同的安置,以达到某一种检验工作的要求;构造简单,操作容易。但精确度差些,只适用于精度要求不太高的工件;因为,这些检验工具都是以工件的某一个平面做基准面来较量另一个表面的,而且需要借标准尺寸(如块规,样板,标准棒等)预先进行校正,以比较的方法间接地从千分表的指示中读出误差数值。所以在检验过程中,必须慎重选取工件最可靠而误差最小的表面来做基准面;在制造中,要保证工具的标准面达到一定的精度。这样,才不会使检验工作产生比较大的误差。如果在千分表上加适当的装置,还可以用它来检验其他形状的工件。
