Professor Pang Xiongfei was born in August 1930 in Nanhai, Guangdong Province. In 1953 graduated from South China Agricultural College, was selected in 1955 to the Soviet Union, Moscow Jierijia Ryad Agricultural College, in 1959, received an associate’s degree.
