在从事英语教学的实践中,我深切体会到语法教学应该系统的归纳,要典型,并要概括。语法是语言的组成部分,上语言课不讲语法是难以进行的,尤其是英语语法的学习,其重要性是显而易见的。下面以as的用法为例,谈谈我是如何处理语法教学的,希望得到同行们的指教。
从初中起在课文中就常见到as,但由于它的词意比较多,很多学生搞不清楚它的用法,现归纳如下:
一、作连词
a.引导时间状语从句,与while相近,意为“当···时候”,强调主从句谓语动词的动作同时发生。
As she sang, tears came down her cheeks.
as引导时间状语从句,还可表示“随着”。
As time went on, Einsten’s theory proved to be correct.
b.引导原因状语从句,意为“由于,因为”。
As we’ve no money, we had better not buy it.
c.引导方式状语从句,意为“如,像,按照”。
She stayed in bed as the doctor had ordered.
When at Rome, do as the Romans do.
d.引导比较状语从句,用于“as…as”结构中。
She is always as busy as she is now.
e.引导让步状语从句,意为“尽管,虽然”。
Child as he is, he knows a lot.
Try as I could, I couldn’t change her mind.
二、作介词,意为“作为,如同”
As a teacher, she is always strict with her students.
三、作关系代词,引导定语从句
a.用在such, the same, as, so后,引导限制性定语从句。
He is such a lazy man as nobody wants to work with.
That is the same book as I lent you yesterday.
b.单独用作关系代词,引导非限制性定语从句,可放主句之前、之后或中间。且一般要用逗号与主句隔开。
As we all know, Taiwan belongs to China.
Taiwan, as we all know, belongs to China.
我進行语法教学时,精讲多练,必要补充,突破难点,既学了语法,又培养了学生从实践中归纳总结的能力,收到较好的效果。这只是我不断探索的第一步,还不太成熟,欢迎大家提出不同看法,互相学习,共同进步。
