(一)前言 天青石矿是最主要、最常见的含锶矿物之一。以前因售价低、用量少,开采规模很小。至六十年代末、七十年代初,随着锶在化学工业和冶金工业上的广泛应用,国外对天青石矿的需求日益增高,不仅开采高品位矿,也注意了低品位矿的合理利用。因此着手研究其选矿工艺,重视其普查勘探。如加拿大的Kaisser天青石矿,1963年就已进行地质工作,却未进行开采,直到1971年才将生产规模由1万吨/年扩大到5.5~6.0万吨/年,并建立了采、选、加工联合企业。据美国矿业局预测,世界锶(以Sr计)的年增长率为4%,近几年各国锶的生产能力见表(据美国矿业局1980年发表资料)。
