Rafael Venorui Architects was invited to participate in the design of a 160,000 m2 integrated functional development project in the Zaidaz region of Amsterdam, an ambitious metropolitan redevelopment roughly between the city center and Schiphol Airport. The master plan calls for each building to have a specific facade that divides the area. As a result, the traditional foundations, columns and roof structures of high-rise buildings are adjusted to fit in the plane and form a more dynamic urban configuration. The firm’s design seeks to renovate the three-divided building structure, bringing the three towers together in one body and creating a dynamic form through outdoor staircases and vertical aluminum frames.
