自从近九十年前自由体白话诗开始尝试,“问题”也就出现了。相对于以“自由”为标识的“新”,新诗把既往所有的汉语诗体形式都推为了“旧”,它也因此遇到了中国诗歌不曾遇到过的问题。以往完全不必讨论的问题,则不得不追究了。直至“五四”之前,中国历代诗人和诗评家都不必去探寻诗存在的意义和理由,也不必去追究什么 Since the free verse began to be tried almost 90 years ago, “problems” have emerged. Compared with the “newness” marked by “freedom”, the new poetry pushed all the previous Chinese poetic forms to “oldness”, and thus encountered problems not encountered in Chinese poetry. In the past, there was absolutely no need to discuss the issue. Until the May 4th Movement, no Chinese poet or poet should explore the meaning and reasons of the existence of poetry and do not have to go after it
