English negation is an extremely common and complex language phenomenon in English. Negative tone involves a wide range, such as logical concepts, customary usages, and rhetorical devices; negative forms are also varied. In general, the concept of negation in English is expressed by negative sentences made up of negative words such as not or no. However, in an actual language, a negative structure such as not or no does not always express negative meaning, and sometimes it also expresses affirmative meaning. Conversely, affirmative structure does not always mean affirmative meaning, and sometimes it also means negative meaning. This phenomenon of inconsistency between form and content, language, and logic often leads to comprehension of negation or negation, partial negation, or negative negation.
