I. General description of the project The ash yard of the 4×350 MW unit of the first phase of Ligang Power Plant is located on the Yangtze River Beach, which is 3 km downstream from the plant area. It starts from Lusheng Port in the west and ends at Shenzhou Port. This section is located on the concave bank of a single microbend section of the Jiangyin section of the Yangtze River. The width of the river is 4km, the width of the riverbank is 1 to 1.5km, and the elevation of the riverbank is between 0.6m and 1.5m (the Wusong elevation, the same below). During the dry season, some of the exposed water surface appears on the beach side, flooding over the flood season. The current ash yard was built on the three levees on the north side of the original river bank.
