Richard Steele (1672-1729) and his old friend Joseph Addison (1672-1719) are well-known English prose words. The former founded “gossip”, the latter published “bystander” magazine; their articles profound thinking, sharp writing, humor, involving various aspects of society at that time, a great impact. In the first episode of Bystander, the publisher introduces himself to the reader as a “bystander,” because he likes observing life from the side and does not want to be in the middle of it. In the second installment, Steele writes about the entire club gathered around Onlooker. Members of six, from all sectors of society, each with its own characteristics, interests are different, the authors will be delineated them vividly.
