In the author and me, Shvia explores the relationship between the author, the self and the writing. It models several self-fictional situations through fictional stories, and in each context has a well-written author, The micro-environment of these virtual authors and the author’s writing environment in reality form an overall situation of self-writing. The author digests the notion of author and ego through a multi-line narrative hierarchy, attempting to recreate oneself by reconstructing the language. It raises the following questions for us: the relationship between reality and fiction, the relationship between writers and works, the relationship between self and narrative. This thesis uses the theories of narratology, biography and self-fiction to analyze this novel.
