The authors performed regional cerebral blood flow measurements in 7 cases of pituitary adenoma, 1 case of craniopharyngioma, and 1 case of empty sella. The method was to first take a femoral artery fistula, perform selective cerebral angiography, and dissolve it in saline water. A 5-milliliter Curie-133 was injected into the carotid artery and a 254-type scintillation detector was used to record the absorption and disappearance of isotopes in the body outside the skull. The local dissection curve was obtained from each detector, and the principle of slope analysis was used by an electronic computer. Calculate the flow value. This value shows a phase in the fixed color scale of the color television monitor.
