In twentieth-century Chinese novel writing, the family novels narrate the basic state of Chinese society from family evolution and family relations disputes. The main structural relationships in the family symbolize the basic ethical relations and the traditional order in Chinese society. However, the contexts of different times have quite different narrative methods and attitudes. Compared with the changes of the narrative objects in Ba Jin’s “Home” and Liu Heng’s “Cang Daydream”, not only can we understand the ways in which the works exist And the cultural significance of this existence, but also helps us to observe and capture the narrative features of the novel and its evolution of cultural awareness in Chinese literary creation of the twentieth century.
