真核细胞基因表达与否受核内非组蛋白染色体蛋白质(NHCP)的调控。核内非组蛋白染色体蛋白质约有450种甚或500种,起调控基因表达的仅是其中磷酸化了的那部分NHCP。在正常细胞转化为癌细胞时,可观察到NHCP的变化。NHCP调控基因表达的机理模式之一,可能是去除组蛋白的阻遏作用。
Eukaryotic gene expression is regulated by nuclear non-histone chromosomal protein (NHCP). There are about 450 or even 500 nuclear non-histone chromosomal proteins that only regulate the expression of that part of the phosphorylated NHCP. Changes in NHCP are observed when normal cells are transformed into cancer cells. One of the mechanistic modes of NHCP regulation of gene expression may be the removal of histone repression.
