June 18, 2005, a total investment of 700000000 yuan, China’s first trans-regional named museum opened in Chongqing, this is almost inundated with the Three Gorges Project and relocation of cultural relics protection planning proposed at the same time, “Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum, ”lasted four and a half years of construction, will become part of the Three Gorges reservoir area final destination. Some people say that the Three Gorges cultural relics there is a lucky: Three Gorges Conservation Project is basically in China’s planned economy period, all funded by the state. Even under such circumstances, the embarrassment often encountered in the increasingly marketed Chinese society by the untargeted Chinese cultural relics protection departments can not be covered yet. In the next one to two decades, various large-scale construction projects will continue to emerge in China. Under such an economic system, how to protect and inherit cultural relics and traditions that have been preserved for thousands of years?
