Zim & Zou is a post-1980 two-person studio from France. After three years of professional graphic design, they began to focus on handcrafted installations, especially paper, wood, silk, etc., trying to avoid sitting at a computer like a puppet. In the process of creation, they cooperate with each other and care about each other’s progress. They insist that each link be personally governed by each other, from drawing to tailoring to joining together. Paper is their favorite, its material and color diversification, so that they cut and paste a lot of complicated and colorful paper sculpture. In these wonderful creations, the flat paper aggregates together to become vivid and vivid, as if the poetic life has been given a brief moment.
