利福平系半合成新抗菌素,是由利福霉素B的转变物利福霉素SV经结合改造而获得的衍生物。对结核杆菌有高度敏感,此外对麻风杆菌及革兰氏阳性菌(尤其是耐药金葡菌)有较强的抗菌作用,对革兰氏阴性菌也有一定疗效。利福平与异烟肼、乙胺丁醇等合用,有协同作用,有效率达90%以上,并可延缓耐药性。
