平山刚玉-矽线石型矿床,就其规模而言,在国内同类矿床中占有重要地位。未发现矽线石与蓝晶石共存的现象。根据与刚玉的密切关系,说明它是在一个特定的高温深变质条件下形成的。该矽线石矿带位于太行山五台隆起南部。矿区出露太古界阜平群的部分组段地层。下部为南营组,上部为宋家口组。南营组只出露上段。主要为黑云斜(二)长片麻岩、角闪斜长片麻岩。顶部有一层由白
