保龄球击打以局为单位,一局有12~20次投球机会。据日本保龄球界人士统计,保龄球的运动量为:1局的热量消耗为40卡;3局(30分钟)的热量消耗相当于高尔夫球33分钟、网球20分钟、排球60分钟、散步80分钟。疲劳程度:与运动量成比例,因每次投球之间有休息,所以不会感到过于劳累。体力消耗:不需要特别的体力,但需要持久力。从以上资料看,保龄球运动是适合于不同年龄、性别和社会层次的一项身心能同时得以锻炼的绅士运动,也是一种精神集中与放松交相反复的极佳的运动项目。
