从非史密斯地层的概念入手，以实例探讨非史密斯地层的３种基本类型：古缝合带（混杂岩）型、推覆体型、走滑型及其复合类型，并对非史密斯地层的研究内容和方法及其在地质制图中应注意的若干问题进行探讨。
Starting from the concept of non-Smith strata, this paper discusses three basic types of non-Smith strata: ancient suture (melange) type, nappe type, strike slip type and their complex types. Methods and some issues that should be noticed in geological mapping.
