1921年11月,华盛顿会议召开之际,中交两行突然发生挤兑风潮。此次挤兑表面上看是由谣言引起,究其根源实乃北京政府的信用危机所致。以英人濮兰德为首所提倡的国际共管说,北京政府的猜疑政治形态以及华盛顿会议的召开,则是造成社会恐慌的外在因素。中交挤兑风潮迫使有识之士积极地参与北京政府的辟谣、拯救中交两行的工作。在多方的协助下,中交两行安然度过此劫。公众舆论倾向认为造谣者是英国人,乃是一种主观臆测,与事实不合。
In November 1921, when the Washington Conference was held, a sudden run-off occurred on the two sides of the People’s Liberation Army. The run-up was caused by rumors on the surface and the root cause was actually caused by the credit crisis in the Beijing government. The international co-operation advocated by British Pranr said the suspicion of the Beijing government and the convening of the Washington Conference are external factors that cause panic in the community. The tide of cross-border exchange and forcibly forced people of insight to actively participate in the rumor of the Beijing government and save the work of the two chambers of reference. With the help of various parties, the two organizations of China and Croatia have survived this tragedy. Public opinion tendencies that the rumor is English, but a subjective guess, and the fact does not fit.
