建国后邓小平对民主集中制原则从理论上进行了一系列阐述，并且坚持理论与实践相结合的原则，逐步形成了他关于民主集中制建设的思想及一些基本特点。这些思想及特点，显示出邓小平对党的民主集中制建设的贡献。
After the founding of New China, Deng Xiaoping elaborated on the principle of democratic centralism theoretically and insisted on the principle of combining theory with practice, and gradually formed his thinking and some basic characteristics about the construction of democratic centralism. These thoughts and characteristics show Deng Xiaoping’s contribution to the party’s democratic centralism.
