Dengwu gold deposit is a small gold deposit found in western Guangdong, which was formed in the Cambrian strata. It is mainly controlled by the north-east Shiyan fault and the orebodies are produced in the secondary structure near the north-south direction of the fault zone. Nearly the ore wall rock alteration are mainly silicification, pyrite, sericitization, chloritization, local carbonate. This paper analyzes the geological characteristics of Dengwu gold deposit in detail from the aspects of strata, magma, tectonics, hydrothermal activity and wall rock alteration, and provides some reference for the genesis and mineralization prediction of similar gold deposits.
