光缆通信系统研究取得了很大进展,已能有效地用于陆军战术(机动性强的)通信系统。某陆军计划拟定用光缆系统代替CX-4566型(26线对电缆)电缆系统。试验结果表明主要是在抗电磁波和射频干扰以及串话方面得到改善。然而,在战术通信上使用光缆的最大好处是体积和重量减小了(比电缆减小了9/10)。本文叙述了用于代替CX-4566型电缆所研制的演示系统。这种系统与现有的军用终端设备的用户电话相连接、并安装在军用终端设备的信号输入端的外边,电缆和光缆均适用)。
Great progress has been made in the research of optical fiber cable communication systems and it has been effectively used in the Army’s tactical (mobility) communications system. An army plan to use fiber optic cable system instead of CX-4566 (26-wire cable) cable system. The test results show that the improvement is mainly in terms of resistance to electromagnetic waves and radio frequency interference and crosstalk. However, the biggest benefit of using optical cables for tactical communications is the reduced size and weight (9/10 less than the cable). This article describes the demonstration system developed to replace the CX-4566 cable. This system is connected to the existing military terminal equipment user telephone and installed outside the signal input of military terminal equipment, cable and optical cable are applicable).
