上柴始建于1947年,1993年改制为股份制上市公司。本部员工4749人,其中工程技术人员560人,包括高级工程师149人,产业工人3384人,平均技术等级4.95级（8级制）。公司拥用博士生5人、硕士生28人、本科生423人,并建有企业博士后工作站。1996年,公司技术中心被命名为“国家级技术中心”。近年来,公司不断加大经费投入,新建柴油机试验室,配置了一批具有国际先进水平的测试仪器,可以进行柴油机的各种项目测试,包括欧Ⅱ 、欧Ⅲ、欧Ⅳ标准的排放、噪音等,为公司新产品开发、性能改进创造了条件。
Shangchai was founded in 1947 and was restructured into a joint-stock listed company in 1993. There are 4,749 employees in the headquarters, including 560 engineers and technicians, including 149 senior engineers, 3384 industrial workers, and an average technical grade of 4.95 (8-level). The company has 5 doctoral students, 28 master students, 423 undergraduates, and a postdoctoral workstation. In 1996, the company’s technology center was named “National Technology Center.” In recent years, the company has continuously increased funding, built a new diesel engine laboratory, equipped with a number of internationally advanced testing instruments, and can perform various diesel engine project tests, including emissions, noise from Euro II, Euro III, and Euro IV standards. And so on, created conditions for the company’s new product development and performance improvement.
