对两个玉米群体完成了两轮特殊配合力的轮回选择。结果表明:两个群体一般配合力、特殊配合力和群体本身均获得了明显的遗传进展,根据原始测验种测交选择所获得的遗传增益并不因用其它测验种测配而丧失。因此,在轮选过程中,中途更换测验种仍可将群体已获得的大部分配合力遗传下去;遗传基础较丰富的群体一般配合力进展大于遗传基础较窄的群体,说明组建遗传基础丰富的原始群体是提高轮回选择效果的关键;轮回选择能够改良群体的原因在于提高优良基因频率,淘汰低劣基因型个体,维持群体内的一定变异,协调各性状间的制约关系等。
