苏联建筑机械部所属乌哈基机械厂生产了用于北方地区的—407型全回转塔式起重机,并顺利通过验收试验,已被建议成批生产。该起重机可用于住宅和办公楼土建安装工程的机械化施工。适用楼房高达12层,起吊构件重量达10吨,环境温度为-60°至+40℃,安装地区风力可为1～5级(1451～77,《起重机,风载荷,计算标准和方法》)。起重机工作制度按国家矿山技术监督规范为轻级,按 PC5138—75为第三组。
