2002年1月15日,国家安全生产监督管理局(国家煤矿安全监察局)局长张宝明同志在全国安全生产工作会议上指出:“去年,全国伤亡事故上升幅度减缓,一些重点行业伤亡事故大幅度下降,特别是全国一次死亡10人以上的特大事故减少,而且没有发生超过100人的恶性事故”,这个成绩来之不易。然而,历史教训不能忘记,安全生产警钟必须长鸣。下面是建国以来发生的一次死亡超过100人的恶性事故的简单记录(不完全统计)。
