《Hong Kong Inside Outside香港里外》作者:Michael Wolf出版:Asia One Books(香港)本书的作者是居住在香港已14年的德国摄影师,极擅于捕捉静物的细节,从中找寻出其独一无二之处。还记得之前Michael Wolf出过的《Sitting in China》影集,将他在中国各地旅行时拍摄到的各种椅子集合在一起,有些是已经损坏多次、反复修补的破旧椅子,有些则是简单的一个石块或者杂物拼搭而成的,他力求在不同的痕迹中发掘出每张椅子独一无二的经历。而这次Michael Wolf则把独特的视角聚集在香港的建筑上,他所关注的建筑并不是广为人知的中环商业区,也不是光鲜亮丽的浅水湾别墅,而是最普通老百姓每天居住的环境。书的第一册命名为《Hong Kong Outside:Architecture of Density》,作者把镜头对准居民住宅楼,每一副照片都只是楼房的一部分影象。每家的窗户像火柴盒般排列在高楼中,统一的楼房风格、颜色则形成了无限延伸感。看罢让人不禁思考:香港人口高达700多万,而在这个弹丸大小的岛屿上,人们是如何搭积木似的占有一席之地?高楼大厦、万家灯火所营造的动感之都背后,居民的生活质素到底如何衡量?
