一、引言在德川(1600—1867)早期日本新儒学的哲学发展中,有较大影响的两位中国思想家是陈北溪(1159—1223)和陆象山(1139—1193)。令人费解的是,这两位中国新儒家对日本十七世纪和十八世纪早期哲学思辩的框架和内容的贡献,却被严重地忽视了。本文试图揭示这两位宋代(960—1279)末期思想家的思想是怎样简明而又清楚地融入到德川时期的日本学者林罗山所写的《性理字义谚解》(1659)一书中的(该书是日本最早的新儒家文本之一)。这些思想影响了一系列表面看起来好像是

INTRODUCTION Two of the most influential Chinese thinkers in the philosophical development of early Japanese Neo-Confucianism in Tokugawa (1600-1867) were Chen Bei-xi (1159-1223) and Lu Xiangshan (1139-1193). Puzzlingly, the contributions of these two neo-Confucians to Japan’s philosophical debate in the seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries have been seriously neglected. This article attempts to reveal how the ideas of the late thinkers of the two Song dynasties (960-1279) were concisely and clearly incorporated into the book “Sexual Interpretation of Words” (1659) by Japanese scholar Iris Lin in the Tokugawa period (The book is one of the earliest Neo-Confucian texts in Japan).
