近年来,商务游、自助游和汽车自驾游等旅游方式受到追捧,此类旅游客源相应得到快速增长,因而,在旅游区的主题酒店、经济型酒店受到游客欢迎。同时,一些专题酒店如会议酒店和度假酒店在市场上以其鲜明的形象给酒店业带来了新的活力。与此同时,中国经济发达的中心城市如北京、上海、广州,高档酒店供给量也在迅速增加。毫无疑问,随着众多商务活动和旅游活动的增加,加之2008年北京奥运会和2010年上海世博会的相继到来,中国的酒店业将迎来新一轮的发展高潮。而外资行业巨头也纷纷凭借雄厚的经济实力与高效的管理体制,积极加大在中国的扩张速度,快速抢占市场份额。
