Mother’ s Day is celebrated on the second Sunday in May, and Father’ s Day is on the third Sunday in June. The holiday customs are similar. On both occasions, greeting cards and gifts from the family are given to the particular member among them, who can also enjoy a day of leisure, away from the housework. Mothers or fathers also .receive carnations (康乃馨) as a token of respect and best wishes.
